What to see in Barcelona?

The Art Nouveau route

At the junction of avinguda Diagonal with carrer Rosselló, right in the heart of Barcelona’s “Quadrat d’Or” (Golden Square), a majestic, medieval-inspired, but modernist urban palace, unique in the city is erected: Casa Terradas, popularly known as Casa de les Punxes.

The spectacular building – revolutionary in both artistic and technical terms – is one of the most iconic structures in Barcelona and an important key to understanding Catalan modernism.

A new project was launched in 2016 to transform it into a space for the communication of culture and its century-old history, based on the premise that culture is a never-ending source of knowledge and entertainment. The thought-provoking museum project proposes ideas that are both educational and entertaining, in spaces that take on a multitude of forms.
